"That's a pretty stylish notebook. Writing about me? Have I made that much of an impression?"

Betty Meyer is a major character from Last Window: The Secret of Cape West who lives in Apartment 203.

Background[]

She's a friend of Tony Wolf, but Tony wants her as his girlfriend. She works in a boutique as a clerk. Marie Rivet sold her ring for only $500, and Betty wanted Kyle to check if it's a fake. Her feelings hide her lack of luck in love and loneliness that is aggravated by the men in her former relationships using her, evidenced by her dates with Rex Foster during the events of the game and she even mentioned that she had a first love who cheated on her (if Kyle sells her a snow globe).

Last Window: The Secret of Cape West[]

She first appears on Chapter 1, where she mets Kyle and Tony on her way to a date.

Later on, she accuses Marie of being careless about her possessions when Marie blames Tony of stealing a ring of hers. The ring is later found in Marie's room.

Throughout the game, she ignores Tony's advances and Kyle discovers that she's being dating Rex, who is using her to keep tabs on Marie. After Kyle confronts her for dating Rex, she reveals she was aware of the motives behind his interest in her, and she has dumped him. She then gives Tony a chance to go on a date. It’s later implied by Kyle that the two were dating.

When Marie is in desperate need of money, Betty buys the precious diamond ring from her for 500$. Kyle tells her that the ring was a present from her late brother, which makes her feel guilty over the trade, giving the ring back to Kyle so it can be returned back to its proper owner, letting Marie to keep the money as well.

Personality[]

Betty is friendly and outspoken. She can get very annoyed when her neighbors get too noisy. Betty works at a accessories store and she likes jewels. While she apparently knows about Tony's crush on her, she doesn't seem to take him seriously. Betty can be very stubborn when she is confronted about her relationship with Rex Foster, but at the end she reconsiders the situation thanks to Kyle's advice.

Physical appearance[]

Betty's attire and thick voluminous hairstyle was very popular among women in the 80s which Last Window is set in. Betty wears a patterned red jacket with a light lavender turtleneck shirt underneath and a violet skirt. Betty has pale skin, blue eyes and has brown curled hair that reaches her shoulders, and she wears other accessories such as a blue bow on her hair, a violet pearl necklace, rounded earrings and light makeup. She also has light lavender (almost white) nail paint.

Trivia[]

  • If Kyle shows Betty Pinkie Rabbit Land, she replies by saying, "A big guy like you still plays games in his spare time?"
  • If Kyle sells Betty a snow globe, she states that she gave the same object to her first love.
