Dylan Fitchar is a major character in Last Window: The Secret of Cape West, living in Apartment 304 until chapter 9/10.
Personality[]
Dylan throughout the game can be seen to be typically friendly to the tenants of Cape West, often offering to help them with maintenance work, though he is also incredibly inquisitive to the point of obsessive over other people's lives. He takes a deep interest in the actions of Kyle, Mrs Patrice, and Marie Rivet, frequently prying into their personal lives for his own alleged curiosity (Though this is later revealed to be as he works as a spy for Nile).
Despite maintaining a rather docile personality for the majority of the game, Dylan is evidently rather fragile regarding other people's treatment of him, as he later lashes out at Kyle for treating him like an idiot, stating that he is smarter than he appears. By games end, Kyle realises that Dylan is in reality a naive lowlife that becomes way in over his head, fueled by his standing as a spy for Nile.
Background[]
Dylan Fitchar is a spy of Nile, who is supposed to keep tabs on Marie Rivet and Mags. He pretends to fix the maintenance of the apartments, and the 4th floor, but uses those times to spy around. He is very curious and asks a lot of questions to every tenant of the apartments. He snoops on Kyle as well.
Dylan lies to Kyle during a conversation, telling him that he knows Marie Rivet from when he allegedly worked at her house as a maintenance man, whilst also claiming he heard about Kyle's past as a detective from an old newspaper he read. It is unknown how long Dylan has been working for Nile, but his actions suggest he is only a low ranking member.
Last Window: The Secret of Cape West[]
Dylan works as a handyman in Cape West Apartments whilst also being a tenant. During the events of Last Window, Dylan often lends help to Kyle Hyde through allowing him access to the 4th floor, as well as informing him on personal information about Mags, and Marie Rivet (later revealed to be a lie). Dylan is well acquainted with Mags and will often speak about her, and much later on in the game, Kyle learns that Dylan is a spy working for the crime syndicate Nile, sent to keep tabs on Mags and Marie.
Alongside this, Dylan also acts as the intermediary for Condor and Marie; Kyle discovers that he is the man who has been sending Marie threatening letters with instructions on how to carry out detailed jewelry robberies, which serves as the first catalyst towards the attempted resurrection of Condor as an organisation. During his interrogation of Dylan, Kyle offers advice on how he can escape Nile briefly seeing as he now blown his cover. Dylan does not directly accept or reject this advice, but pulls a gun on Kyle and instructs him to stand still whilst he leaves. Though we never see Dylan again, it is suspected that he took Kyle's advice and ran away.
