Helen Parker is a guest that appeared in Hotel Dusk: Room 215 residing in Room 212 (Angel).

Helen is the mother of Alan Parker. She got married at a young age and when she was around twenty, she had Alan. In Helen's youth, she was attracted to show business and magic, and worked as a stage magician. Later, her husband convinced her to leave the industry and settle down which she did, although she missed it. She made the difficult choice to leave her husband and son to return to stardom, abandoning her family in order to do so. As time went by, she eventually realized she missed her family and felt that she made a mistake.
Helen as a magician
Twenty years ago, in 1959, Helen was hired at Hotel Dusk to perform for its grand opening. There, she recognized a grown up Alan by chance, who was about thirty. When she saw him, she felt fear and was concerned he would be angry at her, but Alan held her hand and forgave his mother. After that, Helen and Alan decided to go their separate ways, although they promised to meet again in the hotel exactly 10 years from now.
They did so in 1969. She had dinner with him and gave him a fountain pen with his name on it. They made no promises to meet up again, and Helen retired from show business soon after.
In 1979, she decided she wanted to try to reconnect with Alan again anyway. She made an ad in a newspaper saying, "Missing Person. Alan Parker. I am looking for you. Meet me on your birthday in the hotel where we last saw each other."
Hotel Dusk: Room 215[]
Helen first appears just as Kyle Hyde finishes checking in, asking if she can stay in "the wishing room." She is disappointed when she learns it has already been taken.
She and Kyle get along quite well, and he helps her with various things. He eventually learns of her past.
Apparently, whether or not the player chooses to walk her to the restaurant has an effect on the ending. She is said to only appear in the morning if the player agrees to walk her.
Personality[]
Helen is portrayed as a typical elderly woman who acts sweet to others. She also can be polite. Later on, it is revealed that she loves and cares about Alan and her husband.
When Helen was younger, show business and magic got her attention, but it was hard for her to abandon her relatives to pursue it and gradually felt regretful because of her decision to leave, by the time she was performing as a stage magician. Helen even started to miss her family. When she reunited with her son, she repented for what she did and was pleased that Alan forgave her. She is curious about her son's whereabouts as well since he's missing in action.
