Larry Damon is a defense attorney mentioned in Hotel Dusk: Room 215, believed to be "one of the best" in his business. It is said that simply by hiring him could help someone win any case. He appears to specialize in defending organized crime.
Personality[]
Jeff described him as an arrogant scumbag who thinks he's always right about everything and doesn't trust anyone but himself, not even his own family.
Background[]
He is the father of Jeff Damon. He had been working with the crime syndicate Nile. He keeps them safe from the court system and they reward him in handsome sums.
In 1979, Jeff overheard conversations between his father and some of the men from the criminal group since Larry is deeply intertwined with these individuals. This resulted in Jeff to become disgusted with his father's dirty money and he wanted to put a scare in him. He broke into his dad's safe, stole $20,000 and his gun, and hit the road. He hoped to become found out eventually and cause drama, then find a platform such as the news where he could "expose" and destroy his father's reputation. When Jeff later saw the news about the incident, he realized his father knew Jeff was the culprit and still called the police.
After Hotel Dusk[]
In Martin Summer's article, it is mentioned Jeff reconciled with his father and their relationship transformed, and Jeff opened a small lawyer's office in Manhattan independently from his father. Larry came to Manhattan to visit Jeff.
