Robert and Nile

Nile is a crime syndicate who committed a series of art thefts associated with those that Kyle was investigating when he worked as a detective. They serve as the central antagonists of the Kyle Hyde Saga.

They are known to target wealthy people, and are also responsible for several kidnappings. The known hostages are Bradley's sister Mila and Jenny, Dunning Smith's daughter who was eventually set free. However, Mila wasn't as fortunate as her.

Several locations known to be operated by Nile include California and Manhattan, the West and East Coast respectively. They previously used Hotel Dusk as a front to have illicit meetings and to provide a secret workshop for Dunning to paint.

For several decades, they also operated a subsidiary named Condor, another crime syndicate that specialized in jewelry theft.

Trivia[]

  • The name for this syndicate is of Latin origin, meaning “river.” The Nile River is the longest river in the world and runs through the African continent. Nile also has possible Irish origins, where it means “champion” or “cloud”.
    • The Latin meaning could be referencing that they operate in the same land, mainly the United States or that Nile has a continuous cash flow. The Irish meaning also may be referencing that this criminal group is seemingly unstoppable. The cloud meaning could be referring to their crimes as well because these individuals "rain on the parade". Especially towards the police force and they could "strike" at any time (akin to lightning) or that this illegal crew will "brainstorm" any nefarious plan.
