Red Crown Enterprises is an American door-to-door sales company headquartered in Los Angeles, California, United States. It specializes in selling household goods on the surface, however it contains a side business in finding things that are deliberately hidden. Kyle Hyde is an employee of Red Crown and works for both aspects of the company, as he travels in places and looks for the items he is tasked with, yet lacking in his ability to sell goods. The president of the company is Ed Vincent, with his trusted secretary Rachel at his side. Both usually help Kyle with intel about other characters, hint him towards what to do next, put his focus back on his job as an employee, or engage in some small talk.
In Hotel Dusk: Room 215, on 28 December 1979, 04:09 PM, Ed orders Kyle to drive to Hotel Dusk where he has to receive a package with instructions on the items he has to find, as well as a client list and some household items to sell. He wears a jacket with a Red Crown logo on it, which is standard attire for the salesmen of the enterprise.
In Last Window: The Secret of Cape West, on 18 December 1980, 10:45 AM, Kyle is initially fired from Red Crown over the phone due to his poor performance, and the action is reflected later on, as although he wears the Red Crown jacket in the Prologue, he takes it off for the rest of the game. Eventually, Ed rehired Kyle in another conversation on the phone thanks to Kyle passing Ed's test to prove he still has the skills of a salesman, by selling items to two tenants.
