Tony Wolf, known in Japan as Steve Wolf, is a major character in Last Window: The Secret of Cape West. A tenant of the Cape West Apartments, Tony lives in Apartment 201 across from Kyle Hyde.
Personality[]
Tony is laid back and doesn't hold back in trying to convince other people (mainly Kyle) to lend him money for quick get-rich schemes. He is loyal to those he considers his friends and is a hopeless romantic, always pursuing Betty's affections. He also spends the entirety of the game successfully avoiding Mrs. Patrice, to whom he owns four months of rent.
But he also has a violent side when he feels cornered in a situation, such as being accused of theft (which happens often in the game, as everyone knows about his economic situation) or being called a liar. He has assaulted his manager and a punk in the past, threatened Frank Raver and Marie Rivet physically when they falsely accused him of theft and might end up punching Kyle if the player doesn't choose actions correctly in some scenarios, which will result in a Game Over.
Background[]
He was once a successful musician. His career started to decline when he assaulted his manager who used the money earned from a gig of Tony's for his own deeds. Not much later, he also assaulted someone at a gig because Tony saw the person as a threat for a fan.
Tony considers Kyle a good friend, though initially in the game Kyle seems to think differently. As he is flat broke, Tony tries to borrow money from Kyle for dubious reasons from time to time. They become friends as the game progresses, even going as far as Kyle lending him money to record a song and get back on his feet (optionally) and recruiting him to investigate the fourth floor of the apartment.
He is shown to have a massive crush on Betty, who didn’t really reciprocate his feelings at first, however, later on, she offers to get drinks with him, and it’s implied towards the end of the game by Kyle that they began dating, with Kyle saying: “You know how tough life can get, you've got a nice girl, you've even been knocked out. Surely you've got no end of subject matter to work with.”
He composed a song called Believe.
Trivia[]
- Tony comments that he played with a snow globe when he was a child.
